The organisers of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) 2010 have said that film students in the UAE and wider region will be provided with a host of special privileges during the event as part of its mandate to develop the local and regional film industry.
DIFF-accredited students will be able to attend and participate in workshops, panel discussions, masterclasses, networking sessions and screenings during the seventh edition of the event, which runs from December 12th to 19th, 2010.
Eligible students have been invited to register at the DIFF website on the understanding that all applications are supported by a letter from their college or university or relevant faculty member.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for experiential and real-world learning through exposure to accomplished producers, directors, crew experts, business executives, international cinema and Festival operations teams," said Shivani Pandya, managing director of DIFF.
"For film students who are serious about their craft, DIFF is the place to be."
DIFF 2010 is being held in association with Dubai Studio City and is supported by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.
