UAE government officials have met in Ras Al Khaimah to discuss a process for achieving greater cooperation and integration between federal and local levels.
The proposals were discussed during a cabinet meeting attended by local government representatives and chaired by General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the deputy prime minister and interior minister of the UAE, WAM News Agency reported.
During the meeting, Sheikh Saif stressed the keenness of the prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to achieve closer ties between government departments and hierarchies.
He added that the aim of the regular meetings is to achieve the development goals contained in the vision of the federal government for sustainable development across the UAE.
News of the discussions comes as the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone this week reported positive results from its recent trade delegation to Moscow which aimed to promote investment opportunities in the emirate.
