Some of the most famous racing models ever built, including Porsche's first car designed for motorsport more than half a century ago, will make a rare public appearance at Porsche Centre Dubai next month, it has been revealed.
In a statement, Porsche confirmed that the cars will be flown to the UAE from their permanent home at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany for the special open day on November 6th.
According to the company, the star of the show for many will be the 1971 Porsche 917 KH Coupe which has "a prominent place in the manufacturer's impressive racing history".
Other cars to feature will be the 936 Spyder, which ranks among the most successful Porsche racing cars of all time.
Commenting on the open day, Andre Oosthuizen, marketing director for Porsche Middle East and Africa, said: "We are extremely excited to have these icons of Porsche history in our region.
