Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free zone technology park, has confirmed it will participate for the eighth successive year in Gitex Technology Week, the largest ICT exhibition in the Middle East.
In a statement, DSO announced it will host a one-day seminar on "Opportunities and Challenges in Building Technology Companies in the MENA Region" at the event, which is due to be held from October 17th-21st, 2010, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Industry professionals from major technology companies such as CISCO, Motorola, SonicWall, Synopsys and Ericsson will then gather on October 18th for a seminar at Al Multaqua Ballroom to share their insights.
"The MENA market is one of the most exciting and rapidly expanding places in the world right now for technology," commented Shahla Ahmed Abdul Razak, deputy chief executive officer at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority.
"We have carefully planned this forum to facilitate an optimum exchange of information."
DSO is a wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai and operates as a free zone for semiconductor, microelectronic and other high technology-based companies.
