The Dubai Municipality will present various new e-services offered to its customers through its website at the upcoming Gitex 2010 tech event.
Abdul Hakim Malik, director of IT at Dubai Municipality, said that its participation in the exhibition will highlight the progress reached by Dubai's e-government.
Gitex, the largest ICT exhibition in the Middle East, is due to be held from October 17th-21st, 2010, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Mr Malik confirmed that his department will announce five new projects and systems at the event as well as organising a competition for training and testing on the International Certificate of Computer and Internet, IC3.
He added that by participating in the exhibition, Dubai Municipality aimed to spread "the culture of e-transformation" and introduce Municipality services available on its portal.
The news comes after Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free zone technology park, this week confirmed its participation at Gitex.
