Dubai has hosted a bilateral seminar to boost its health sector cooperation with partners in Germany.
The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress from Dubai, Hamburg and northern Germany met today (January 26th) to discuss an integrated healthcare strategy based on best international practices.
With the backing of the Dubai and Hamburg chambers of commerce, Hisham Al Shirawi, vice president of the Dubai Chamber, opened the seminar by emphasising the importance of government and private sector cooperation.
As part of an agreement signed at the Dubai Hamburg Business Forum in Hamburg in 2008, both cities have worked jointly on economic areas like financial services, renewable energy, logistics, media and information technology.
As part of the healthcare focus, Dubai is seeking to welcome German expertise and investment and forge business links for the future.
"The Dubai government pays a lot of attention to the healthcare sector and the quality of life of all its citizens and residents in the emirate," said Mr Al Shirawi.
According to the Dubai Chamber, its mission is to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai by creating a favourable investment environment.
