The largest shopping and entertainment complex in the world opened the doors to a new hotel in Dubai this week, it has been announced.

As part of a growing portfolio of properties in the Address Hotels and Resorts canon, the 244-room building sports an elliptical design with views of the Burj tower.

In addition, being linked directly to the Dubai Mall, the accommodation can offer easy access to exclusive fashion advisors and personal shoppers, while retaining a host of high profile hospitality options.

Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties, said the opening was a tribute to how the emirate was moving into a new phase of development and progress.

"Dubai is continuing to beat all projections in terms of visitor arrivals with over 1.85 million guests hosted in the second quarter of this year. This indicates a robust growth of tourism and growing demand for hotels," he added.

The Dubai Mall has its own aquarium that features regular feeding shows for its family of stingrays and sharks.
