For those with property for sale in Dubai, it is welcome news that the international airport is experiencing record growth.
Having more tourists in the area is likely to boost property sales and letting opportunities and Dubai International Airport has now reported its third consecutive month of increased passenger traffic.
The first eight months of this year saw passenger numbers hit 26.8 million, compared to 2008's figure of 25.1 million, with a record number of 3.76 million passengers in July.
Paul Griffiths, Dubai Airport's chief executive officer, said: "The end of the summer also marks the beginning of high-season for tourists which puts Dubai International on track to set a new record of 40.5 million passengers by year-end."
According to Mr Griffiths, Dubai Airport is the only hub in the top ten for international passenger traffic that is still recording positive growth in numbers.
The news comes as the Middle East North Africa Financial Network reported that there is likely to be an influx of Indian tourists to Dubai next year, with more than 600,000 expected to visit the region by the end of 2010.
