A spokesman for Dubai Sports City (DSC) has commented on the arrival and presence of England cricketer Andrew Flintoff.
It emerged this week that the Lancashire all-rounder, who has celebrated beating the Australians to take the coveted Ashes on two occasions, would be helping to coach the UAE team.
During his time recovering from a knee operation, Flintoff will use the DSC to aid his rehabilitation and managing director of its sports business division
Malcolm Thorpe said this is just the latest part of a three-year relationship.
"Andrew is an old friend of Sports City having attended the opening of the Els Club. We expect to see a lot more of him now that he is based here," he said.
Mr Thorpe went on to say the cricketer would "benefit greatly" from the various facilities on offer and that he was pleased to have struck up an association with him.
Flintoff's agent also said this week that the star had already rented an apartment by the Marina and had enrolled his children at a Dubai school.
