People looking to buy property in Dubai may be pleased to hear of increased access to transport information.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced it is to link up with social networking sites Blogger and Twitter.
Facebook and YouTube have already been utilised by the body in its aim to foster communication links with the public and media.
Peyman Younes Parham, director of RTA marketing and corporate communications, explained the platforms are useful in connecting with the public when it comes to services and educational campaigns.
The sites will also be used to highlight safety and environmental issues, as well as public health, he said, which may help those looking to buy property in Dubai find their way around the emirate.
Mr Parham noted: "Through these portals RTA offers games and stages quizzes and honours winners from time to time.
"RTA intends to enrich this customer communication channel with several more surprises in future."
Emirate residents have expressed their enthusiasm about the forthcoming opening Dubai Metro, set to open on September 9th.
