Dubai's new International Hockey Stadium has been deemed one of the best in the world by a top-class player, which could be good news for those with Dubai property investments.
Rehan Butt, Pakistani hockey star and Asian Hockey Player of the Year, has paid a visit to the new development and express how impressed he was with the facility, WorldHockey.org reported.
The stadium includes two water-based pitches that have been certified by an international standard and are surrounded by floodlights. It is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, which may draw in sports enthusiasts to buy property in Dubai.
Butt commented on the development, located in the emirate's Sports City, saying: "The facilities for hockey at Dubai Sports City are as good as anything I have ever seen before.
"My trip to Dubai has given me the chance to see the development for myself and I am hugely impressed by everything that has been achieved."
He added he would like to be able to play at the centre himself.
The Sports City is set on 50 million square feet within the Dubailand development and has been created with a vision of providing venues for top sporting events, academies, recreational sports facilities and residential and commercial property in Dubai.
