Rami Farook Rahimtulla is the founder and director of a 7,000 sq ft design store, gallery and studio in Al Barsha – called Traffic - which is used to host exhibits, lectures and screenings.

He has been recognised for his achievements with the accolade and asserted it was an "honour to represent the UAE on a global scale", adding he looks forward to working with entrepreneurs, manufacturers and educators in the UK as part of his prize.

The competition was part of the British Council's internal programme Young Creative Entrepreneur and country director Paul Sellers noted Mr Rahimtulla's application was "extremely strong".

"Rami's … impressive networking skills promise great things to come for UAE-UK collaboration," he asserted.

The British Council aims to build engagement for the UK through encouraging knowledge and ideas to be exchanged between people worldwide. ADNFCR-2019-ID-19298766-ADNFCR
