More than half of all employers in the Middle East have identified jobsites as their preferred recruitment portals.
Such is the headline finding of a new study carried out by Bayt.com, which found that 52 per cent of regional employers said that jobsites are their first port of call in recruiting talent.
The website reported on a changing of the guard, with just 11 per cent of recruitments identifying 'traditional' recruitment portals such as newspaper ad placements as the preferred channel.
Meanwhile, nine per cent said word of mouth is their favoured recruitment method, while seven per cent prefer scouting employees using their own career website.
Other recent findings from Bayt.com have shown that consumer confidence in the UAE rose dramatically in June, with the benchmark index rising 15.9 points against the previous survey carried out in February.
This rise was the biggest margin seen across the Middle East, with Kuwait scoring the second highest jump, climbing 14.2 points.
