Hilton Hotels in Dubai have launched their first summer promotional campaign targeted at travellers from members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and Hilton Dubai Creek will be offering tailored value packages specifically designed to attract GCC tourists over the summer months, with the company identifying domestic travel as a particularly important market this year.
"Our June figures were above expectations, with GCC travelers exceeding forecasts for both leisure and business segments, elevating our average occupancy for the month into the [90 per cent range]," said Claudia Siebecker, cluster director of business development, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and Hilton Dubai Creek.
She added that the company realised the importance of rewarding this market with family-oriented, value packages.
Hilton has also extended its reach in the Middle Eastern market with a scheduled move into to Doha, Qatar.
The company has recently signed an agreement for the development of the Hilton Doha Residence, which is due to be completed in 2012.
