FlyDubai has reached another milestone in its impressive expansion with the completion of its inaugural flight to Aleppo.
The company, Dubai's dedicated first low-cost airline, initiated the 3.5 hour flight to the Syrian capital this morning (July 13th), with the return leg of the daily service also completed later in the day.
It is the fifth destination to be served by the company, with regular flights to and from Amman, Damascus and Alexandria launched in rapid succession after an inaugural flight to Beirut on June 1st.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive of the company, said that the new service would help to build long-term links between Dubai and Syria by allowing tourists and commercial customers to travel between the two destinations more easily.
"Our aim is always to bring people together more often and to make their journeys a little less complicated, a little less stressful and a little less expensive," he added.
