The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced that its registered members are now able to access commodities community facilities at Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT).
In a statement, the authority announced that all current and incoming members will find a new physical trading hub in the 200-acre free-zone facilities, offering a centralised hub boasting the very latest technology and training expertise.
"This initiative aims at long-term growth for the commodities industry via the creation of a dedicated commodities cluster. DMCC has taken great care in designing the business facilities at JLT," commented Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman of DMCC.
He added that the move will help to bolster Dubai's reputation as the most active trading hub in the region.
DMCC last month attended the Middle East Africa Asia Rice Summit 2009, where it touted the importance of the emirate in the regional rice trading market, as well as other key food commodity sectors.
