The Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone Authority (RAK FZA) has been identified as a pioneering advocate of ecommerce and named as an e-leader by business-to-business commerce group Tejari.
The authority teamed up with Tejari to offer thousands of companies the chance to use innovative online trading services, boosting business and networking activity for both parties.
"All companies that now join RAK FZ have the chance to build up their online showroom, showcase 200 products and support each product with four photos," said Maryam Al Murshedi, deputy director general of RAK FZA.
She added that companies across the Middle East can then immediately begin placing orders with new members of the trade zone, in news that may encourage businesses to establish a presence in the emirate by purchasing commercial property in Ras Al Khaimah.
Tejari has also recently commended the Dubai police force after it achieved "exceptionally high" online purchase rates using the trading platform provided by Tejari.
