Following World Environment Day on Friday (June 5th), the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) and Dubai Municipality have hosted an exhibition examining sustainability in the emirate.
Exploring everything from water conservation techniques to green property for sale in Dubai, the event was held to demonstrate the pledges that the two authorities have made to help protect the environment as development in the emirate continues apace.
The exhibition was held in the DSOA headquarters and also included seminars and workshops to actively engage visitors in issues such as global warming and conservation.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality, commented: "We mark the World Environment Day with a series of events that reaffirm our commitment to key environmental issues."
World Environment Day is organised by the United Nations and was this year hosted by Mexico, with the country using the event to announce substantial greenhouse gas cuts and additional protection for five areas of environmental importance.
