A bevy of internationally acclaimed stylists have extolled the interior design standards of commercial property in Dubai and elsewhere in the UAE.
Speaking at the first OFIS Design Futures 2009 lectures, designers from both the Middle East and Europe were unanimous in recognising that corporations in the emirates are looking to set themselves apart by fitting and furnishing their office interiors to the highest standards.
"Many of the trends and solutions in office design are being implemented in the UAE before anywhere else in the world," said Udo Tunte, spokesperson for Parador Flooring in Germany.
Meanwhile, Kate Stewart, a director at UK-based Team a go-go, said that designers are given free rein to try out new ideas in offices and schools in the UAE and added that the design world is very keen to be a part of the developments in these sectors.
The lectures were held at the OFIS showroom near Maktoum Bridge yesterday (June 10th) and today.
