Western tourism chiefs 'head to Arabian Travel Market'

A growing tourism industry in the United Arab Emirates has prompted western industry chiefs to head over to the Arabian Travel Market.

The event reports that there has been an increase in international ministerial attendance at the exhibition as they look to offset diminishing tourist figures.

Less affected by the global economic downturn than other countries, property for sale in Dubai may be the perfect choice for people looking to invest in the area.

After attending the Travel Market, Weerasak Kowsure, chairman of Thailand's Tourism Authority, said: "Our number of inbound guests from the Middle East continues to grow, which is offsetting drops we are seeing in other areas; it is important we focus our efforts on areas where growth is forecasted."

Western visitors are likely to receive a warm welcome upon arriving in Dubai, as its international airport has been voted best in the Middle East by readers of Business Traveller.
