Launched yesterday (April 30th) and running until May 9th, the new initiative aims to promote travel, tourism and retail between the two emirates.
Fuad Sharaf, vice-president of the mall, said: "We are extremely proud of our achievements here at the Mall of the Emirates and we want to share our success not just with the people of Dubai, but with our brothers and sisters in Abu Dhabi."
Those who enjoy their journey to the emirate, which is only an hour's drive from Abu Dhabi, may wish to stay over and view the premium property for sale in Dubai.
Mr Sharaf was confident that Emiratis would want to visit Dubai "again and again" after their first visit.
For this year's Dubai Shopping Festival in January and February, Mall of the Emirates gave shoppers the opportunity to get their hands on AED1 million in a jackpot prize draw.
