Lower rental costs in Dubai mean that an increasing number of expats have upgraded their properties, it has been reported.
After years of sharing, the competitive rental market in Dubai has resulted in more Britons branching out and securing their own apartment, Business 24/7 stated.
Two locations which are especially popular with expats are Dubai Marina and the Jumeirah Lake Towers.
Speaking to the news resource, William Diack - who lives in Dubai with his wife and son - said: "Many people are taking advantage of being able to get more for their budget and upgrading to a villa with private garden as opposed to staying in an apartment."
He made the move from International City to the Arabian Ranches after the birth of his son last month. Mr Diack enjoys the space, clean air and the gardens of the area.
