Sheikh Mohammed praises government excellence at DGEP

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice-president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai has once again praised the work of various public offices and departments at the 11th Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) ceremony.

Addressing the audience at the event, held yesterday (April 28th) at the Madinat Jumeirah, Sheikh Mohammed reminded attendees that they had been convened to celebrate and promote best standards in all areas of the public sector.

He went on to reaffirm his longstanding pledge to the progress and development of Dubai and would add a new award to the DGEP to help drive innovation and recognise the pursuance of his vision.

Among those lauded at this year's ceremony were the Naturalisation and Residency Department, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai General Police Headquarters, Dubai Courts, Dubai Customs, Dubai Public Prosecution and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Last year, the DGEP developed a new standard to assess employee excellence across government departments.
