Many top manufacturers and suppliers throughout Europe are making moves into the Middle East to capitalise on the continuing growth in the region's leisure and hospitality sector.
The organiser of The Hotel Show 2009, taking place in Dubai next month, has taken bookings from 15 European manufacturers looking to expand their presence in the region, with Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Belgium all represented at the show.
"Many [European companies] continue to see growth ... in both budget and premium hotels in the Middle East, providing opportunity for manufacturers and suppliers to the industry," said exhibition director Maggie Moore.
She added that there has been a particular interest in sustainable developments in the hospitality sector.
Ms Moore has also recently announced the results of a new survey conducted by The Hotel Show group which estimates that a total of 61 new hotels will open across the Arabian Gulf by the end of next year.
