Emirates has unveiled plans to open a dedicated lounge for business flyers and regular customers at Manchester Airport.
The company has revealed that the new 8,500 sq ft facility will be able to host around 180 customers and will include business services, in addition to shower suites.
In addition, Emirates has hinted that it may also soon be bringing the Airbus A380 to the north-western city as part of its continuing plans for expansion.
The company currently offers a twice-daily service to Dubai from Manchester Airport's Terminal 2. However, it will be relocating to Terminal 1 in June of this year, allowing it to introduce new A380 flights.
"We're particularly delighted that we can reward our premium passengers with the facilities of what we are sure will be the finest lounge at the airport," said Emirates' senior vice-president for commercial operations in Europe Salem Obaidalla.
The company has also announced plans to begin bridging flights from Dubai to Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, bringing the Far East nearer for its European customers.
