Dubai Bank has confirmed that it won two awards at this year's International Islamic Finance Forum (IIFF).
The event, which was held at the JW Marriott hotel on April 26th this year, saw the bank walk away with accolades for two developing business areas.
Both the Alternate Channels in Islamic Banking award and the Innovation in Card Application award were won by Dubai Bank, in recognition of the organisation's work in these areas.
There were a total of 11 different awards categories, but Dubai Bank was the only organisation to win in two separate categories.
"We are very pleased with the recognition of our contribution to the field of Islamic finance through our winning the IIFF awards," said Mohamed Amiri, head of retail banking at the organisation.
He added that the organisation is committed to developing a range of alternative channels for banking activities, to meet the needs of busy consumers. Such a strategy involves focusing on investment in new technologies.
