Industry chiefs are unanimous in their agreement that business aviation in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East will continue to grow in 2009.
A panel of experts from organisations including the Middle East Business Aviation Association, the Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Al Jaber Private Jets and Silver Air have converged in the capital to discuss opportunities for the coming year.
Addressing the delegation, Shane O'Hare, president and chief executive officer of Royal Jet, said that the sector will continue to reap the benefits of the region's substantial gross domestic product growth and high levels of liquidity.
He added that the company is looking forward to achieving its long-term ambitions to carve out a larger share of the Middle Eastern business aviation market.
"Part of our growth strategy to the year 2020 is to increase our fleet in the super-mid range by aircraft management as a major part of our business," he told attendees.
The company has also just recently opened a new brokerage in Dubai to fulfil the travel requirements of those with commercial property in Dubai.
