Dubai Industrial City has completed the grading work for phase two of its 167 million sq ft development in a record time.
The work, which included levelling off and demarcation of plots, was completed in just eight months and was sped up to accommodate increasing demand for industrial property space in the emirate.
Rashed Al Ansari, vice-president of Dubai Industrial City, said that the company is proud to announce the early completion of the grading work.
"Work on the remaining segments of our project will also proceed as planned, as we streamline our efforts towards establishing a holistic manufacturing destination with the most modern facilities," he added.
Some 30 factories are expected to be up and running by the end of the year, he went on to reveal.
Earlier this month, the group also announced that it had completed the construction of 64 showrooms in the warehouse complex of the project.
As the development fills up, there may also be a rise in demand for residential property for sale in Dubai.
