The University of Pune will begin offering its world-class degree programmes to students in Ras Al Khaimah.
In news that may be of interest to families who are planning to buy property in Ras Al Khaimah, the Indian university will open a new campus in the northern emirate by the end of the year.
The announcement was made at a function held in the Al Dhet Palace which was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, crown prince and deputy ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Indian Consul General Venu Rajamony.
"The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah greatly values the development of its human potential and is committed to make the emirate a hub for higher education in the region," said Sheikh Saud.
He added that it was a pleasure to welcome the new university and extolled the exciting opportunities that the campus will bring for both nationals and overseas students.
The University of Pune offers undergrad, postgrad and doctoral programmes of study in fields such as sciences, languages, social sciences, law, management and other interdisciplinary subjects.
