Exhibitor attendance at next year's Dubai Airport Show is expected to double on the previous year, Emirates Business News (EBN) reports.
More than 80 purchasing decision makers from current airport construction projects across the region are expected to attend, with confirmed participants already including representatives from Doha International Airport, Qatar, Khartoum New International Airport, Sudan and Maharashtra Airport Development Company.
According to the news provider, the surge in interest comes as organisers increase the focus on further improving the return on investment that exhibitors and visitors can generate from their participation.
"Regional demand has been increasing significantly with more than Dh220 billion worth of airport-related projects estimated to be under way. At least 39 airports across the region are either under construction or undergoing modernisation," Mohamad Bader-Eddin, show director at Reed Exhibitions told EBN.
The show offers a diverse range of possibilities for investment in Dubai, with the latest integrated technologies and services in high demand for such extensive projects.
This week Dubai International Airport (DIA) announced double-digit growth for the sixth consecutive month as it recorded a 12.6 per cent increase in passenger traffic in November.
