A delegation from Dubai has been promoting the emirate's tourism industry at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in the French city of Cannes.
It was the seventh successive year that the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has participated in the ILTM, a leading annual business-to-business event for the global luxury travel community which brings together over 3,600 suppliers and professional luxury travel buyers.
The DTCM's promotions at the event have consistently encouraged investment in Dubai's tourism and property. Its presence among the other 19 co-participants this year was strong, with the Dubai stand measuring 107 square metres in total.
"Dubai’s ILTM participation formed part of the aggressive promotional and marketing agenda that the DTCM has been pursuing to attract more visitors to Dubai," said the DTCM.
According to Market Watch, Dubai welcomed 3.85 million visitors in the first half of this year, a huge rise on ten years ago, when Dubai had about three million visitors annually.
