The launch of a trade event may be of interest to those with commercial property in Dubai.
Pilot Shop focuses on interaction between the UAE and Japan and is presenting new products from small and medium-sized businesses based in the latter.
Taking place in the Dubai Mall, the event has already been attended by Seiichi Otsuka, Japan's consul general to Dubai.
Its theme is said to be Simply Japan, of which Kuniyasu Funaki, the chief executive officer of Jetro Dubai and Middle East North Africa, explained the objective is to monitor consumer responses to Japanese products from the Arab regions.
Having started on November 3rd, the exhibit scheduled to run until November 14th.
Jetro Dubai was founded 1981 in order to improve business links between the UAE and Japan and claims to act as a "gateway to mutual business relationships between Japan and the Gulf states".
The company offers services including trade inquiries and consultation, a business library and a business matching database. This is combined with putting on trade fairs and exhibitions in Japan itself.
