Those with property in the UAE could find that London and Dubai may be set to work together more closely in finance.
At the recent Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) seminar, H E Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, governor of the DIFC, suggested that links between the two countries will open up opportunities which could lead to strong foundations for joint ventures in the future.
Dr Omar said: "We must understand what each side can best bring to the table in light of how our world is evolving."
The Rt Hon Lord Davies of Abersoch, UK minister for trade, investment and business, expressed he was pleased to attend such a seminar and highlighted the figure for UK and UAE trade last year, which had surpassed £1.6 billion.
He added that a large proportion of this money had gone through the DIFC.
The mission of the DIFC is to drive forward economic growth in the region, alongside diversification and development, by making the organisation become recognised as a global financial centre.
