The launch of an arts event this week could spark the interest of those with property in the UAE.
Supported by the DIFC Lifestyle Group, which is a part of a wider group that belongs to the financial arm of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the exhibition is entitled Dubai Transmutations
It is the world premiere of photographer Martin Becka's work, brought together by the Empty Quarter Fine Art Photography Gallery.
Abdulla bin Sougat, chief executive officer of the DIFC Lifestyle Group, explained: "The series of Martin Becka's photography was realised during a one-month stay in Dubai in March 2008.
"Through this series, Martin Becka draws up an original panorama of Dubai today."
He added that the DIFC was pleased to be able to support the greatly anticipated premiere of the work.
Yesterday the event was opened by the HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The Empty Quarter Fine Art Photography Gallery claims to be the only space in Dubai which is devoted exclusively to photography and fine art.
