A newly launched photography competition could spark the interest of budding photographers who have a property in the UAE.
To celebrate its 90th anniversary, camera specialist Olympus has come up with the Dubai: Dawn to Dusk contest, in a tribute by the company to the emirate's fast pace and vibrancy.
Three lucky photographers will be invited to take themed shots at different times of day, with the winning images being exhibited later in October.
Mr Nacho Abia, chief executive officer at Olympus, said: "The UAE has always represented a very significant market for Olympus, because of its predominantly multi-cultural population, which has diverse and varied photography interests."
The company has been operational in the region for more than 20 years and revealed the competition as it took part in GITEX Dubai.
It was originally established in 1919 to produce microscopes, only later moving into camera manufacturing.
The GITEX event provides a platform for enterprise, small to medium businesses and the government in relation to technology.
