Cheaper airfares could boost Dubai property investment

Special fares between Europe and Dubai introduced by one airline could have a positive impact on Dubai property investment.

The ticket prices launched by German airline Lufthansa are applicable to over 40 European destinations leaving from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Kuwait and Doha.

Mr Peter Pollak, a director at the company, said: "We have introduced some of the lowest and very attractive fares in the UAE and other Gulf markets as they are of key strategic importance to Lufthansa."

Customers wanting to book the cheaper airline tickets need to do so before November 10th, with their travel date starting no later than April 15th of next year.

These conditions apply to those booking flights from UAE, Kuwait and Oman. People wanting to book tickets from Doha need to fly before the end of this year.

Earlier this month, the Lufthansa group also announced it would be taking over an extra 20 per cent of bmi's shares, meaning it will hold 100 per cent of the company as of November 1st.
