Dubai named a golf tourism hotspot
Long known for its sun-kissed beaches and luxury hotels, Dubai has now been hailed as one of the world's top golfing hotspots.

A recent poll of almost 100 golf tour operators from all over the globe carried out by KPMG found that the Emirate has been flagged as one of the world's most up-and-coming destinations for lovers of the sport.

Indeed, Dubai was seen as a more attractive proposition for keen golfers than either Scotland or Ireland, both traditionally associated with the game, with tourism experts pointing to the year-round good weather and luxury facilities offered by the destination.

The study also revealed that 90 per cent of golf tour operators expect the sector to carry on growing for the foreseeable future, despite the current economic conditions, with this likely to lead to even more investment and recruitment opportunities within Dubai.

The publication of the study's findings comes just weeks after the plans for the forthcoming The Tiger Woods Dubai - a course and leisure resort designed in part by the world number one - were officially unveiled.ADNFCR-2019-ID-18883557-ADNFCR
