Established in March 2001, Gulf for Good operates under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum. Gulf for Good has run over 35 challenges in 20 countries from Peru to Madagascar to Mongolia, involving over 750 challengers from 41 countries, who have raised around 7 million dirhams. This has paid for over 40 projects around the world, including donating school equipment in Sharjah, Oman and Jordan; renovating schools, clinics and orphanages in Lebanon, Egypt and Thailand; building an orphanage and hospital in Nepal; building hospital wards in Haiti; providing ambulances in India and Africa; and many others.
